Video: "Africa isn't just Diseases" says Benin Singer, Angelique Kidjo on Al jazeera

Hey! It's been a while since I updated you all and that is because I have been busy with exams and other life issues. Anyways, Hope you all had a great weekend. I came across an interesting interview that struck my attention!
Angelique Kidjo is a symbol of Africa's creativity, energy, and beauty. The Grammy-winning singer talks about Ebola, Terrorism, and challenging negative media perceptions about Africa. I love her because even as a popular celebrity, she still holds own to her roots and always defends where she is from. She says, "I am an African person before a Celebrity". She shares so many inspiring and informative opinions that is needed to be said and heard.
Check out the "must-watch" video below and hope you learn something from it as I did.

Grand Jury Decision to not Charge Darren Wilson in Michael Brown Death Causes Violence in the United States.

Police Officer, Darren Wilson, who shot unarmed Michael brown was not charged for any crime and was set free. This is just plain Injustice! This decision has sparked so much controversy from the country and it is said that it has led to a violent reaction on the streets of Ferguson.
Time after time, such incidents have taught us that discrimination against race is still within us though it is not expressed like the early times. When will they see that WE all matter! Black people are as important as the white people so why the discrimination!
Also, I came across this Ignorant and stupid tweet from a silly girl...See it below

Real vs Fake Friends

Have you ever had someone or people you've called "friends" but they turn out to be worse than your enemies? In the world we live in today, there are so many people who are two-faced and hypocrites. There are a lot of situations where people you've called your friend for so many years become strangers in a second as a result of broken trust, or stabbing you in the back.
Fake friends are always there when they need something from you or when they have no one else to hang out with or people turn their backs on them but once they get what they need, they disappear in a blink of an eye. They show no act of care when they see you sad instead, that is the moment they become so happy and forget about their duties as a friend. Speaking of duties, what do you think are the duties of a "real" friend?  Everyone has a moment in their life when they have no space or time for fake friends and just need real people around them.
It doesn't take anything to cut people off! Cutting people might just lead you to realize your real friends.

Upcoming Elections In Nigeria: Will it be Bloody or Peaceful?

Hey Beautiful People,
Elections will be coming up soon in Nigeria, and most people who are up to date on the affairs of Nigeria will understand when I say the nation is on a shaky ground when it comes to this topic. Most Nigerians believe that the upcoming elections is going to be bloody while some others like 2face Idibia and other artists are pushing a movement called "Vote not Fight:Election No be War".
Nigeria is presently facing hard times because while leaders have begun their campaigns, Northern states are being terrorized and invaded by the Boko Haram and citizens are fleeing from their homes to other countries. At the rate the issues are going, we can only pray to God to help make Nigeria stand through this storm. Do you think President Jonathan should pause his campaign and focus on the recent bombings? Do you believe the upcoming elections is going to be bloody or peaceful?
Leave your comments below and check out some cartoons based on the issues going on in Nigeria...

Opinion topic: Big Brother Africa 9... Interesting or nah?

So lately, my friends and I have been talking about the new season of Big Brother Africa that begun October 5th, 2014. In my opinion, I feel like the show is just boring and not fun. Like I don't know if it's because of the people involved or if the show has just ran on for too long... but I no longer even watch it.
I want to hear your opinions about this new season and what you think is the reason why it's no longer interesting...
